Point Cleaning Checklist
At Bright Space Cleaning NYC, Inc., we take pride in delivering exceptional cleaning services. Our 14-point checklist ensures that every corner of your space is immaculate. Here's what our thorough cleaning process includes:
#1 Pick Up and Organize (Light)
Neatly arrange small items, toys, clothing, and décor within reach. Does not include decluttering, reorganization, or deep tidying projects.
#2 Trash Collection
Empty trash from bathrooms, kitchen, and living areas. Replace liners if provided or if enrolled in BSC consumables. Dispose of waste in designated household bins.
#3 Dusting (Top to Bottom)
Dust all reachable surfaces up to 6 ft using microfiber or Swiffer tools, including vents, light fixtures, frames, blinds, ledges, and furniture. Height limits strictly enforced for safety.
#4 Surface Wiping
Wipe all accessible horizontal and vertical surfaces using neutral cleaners. Includes counters, tables, desks, dressers, nightstands, shelving, and window sills. Removes light smudges and fingerprints.
#5 Spot Cleaning Walls and Doors
Light spot cleaning of walls, doors, and switch plates only. Full wall washing, paint restoration, and heavy scuff removal excluded.
#6 Fixtures and Glass
Clean mirrors, glass doors, and light fixtures using streak-free solutions. Polish chrome, nickel, and stainless steel fixtures where applicable.
#7 Kitchen Cleaning
Clean and sanitize counters, backsplashes, sinks, faucets, and stove exteriors. Wipe exterior of all appliances. Clean interior of one microwave only. Remove crumbs and polish stainless steel.
#8 Bathroom Cleaning
Clean and disinfect sinks, faucets, counters, mirrors, toilets, tubs, and showers. Remove soap residue, polish fixtures, and mop tile floors. Heavy buildup or mold requires deep cleaning.
#9 Entryways and Common Areas
Dust, vacuum, and mop entry areas and hallways. Wipe door frames, mirrors, and shoe racks. Remove light scuffs where possible.
#10 Pet Areas (If Applicable)
Vacuum and brush pet hair from sofas, rugs, and floors using pet-safe tools. Pet waste, litter boxes, and odor remediation excluded unless scheduled separately.
#11 High-Touch Disinfection
Sanitize doorknobs, light switches, handrails, remotes, appliance handles, and faucet levers.
#12 Beds and Linens
Make beds and tidy bedding. Change linens only if clean sets are left out. Laundry not included unless separately scheduled.
#13 Floors
Vacuum all carpets and rugs using client-provided vacuum. Mop all hard floors using microfiber or Swiffer-type systems throughout the home.
#14 Final Touch and Polish
Final dry mop or microfiber pass to remove fine particles. Return décor to original placement and ensure visible cleanliness before departure.
